Clever objects from our 3D printing workshop

Workshop

We 3D print every MiniDropZone product in our own workshop. Here is what they are made of, how we make them and what finish to expect.

FDM 3D printing

Our objects are made with FDM printing. The printer heats the material and lays it down in thin layers, one on top of another, until the shape is complete.

This lets us make forms that are hard to produce any other way: organisers with compartments, ribbed decorations, holders fitted to specific tools and models with moving parts.

We sell finished, physical objects. We do not sell files for printing at home.

Material: PLA

We print with PLA, a bio-based plastic and one of the most popular 3D printing materials. PLA prints are light, which you will notice in models made for handling and moving gadgets as well as in decorations and organisers.

Most products come in several colours — the available variants and their photos are on each product page. Some models are made from a gold or iridescent material.

The actual shade may differ slightly from the photos, depending on your screen settings and lighting.

How your product is made

  1. You choose a variant

Pick the colour and version on the product page. If a product can be personalised, such as a name on a money box, enter it in the order notes.

  2. We print it

The object is built layer by layer on one of the printers in our workshop.

  3. We pack and ship it

We send the finished item with the delivery method you chose in the cart. You see the delivery cost before you pay.
